Information
Individual crates or crate stacks are transferred to a roller conveyor. Crates are weighed both full and empty after birds have been removed and hung to the shackles of the overhead conveyor. After the second weighing, crates are conveyed into a crate washer to be pre-washed (related to type), cleaned, disinfected and rinsed.
If stacks of crates are handled, an inline destacker destacks crates before the first weighing, and a stacker assembles them again into stacks after washing. The system ends at the loading platform, which can serve as a buffer before crates are loaded onto the truck.
System layout depends on capacity, available space, type of crate washer and supply method.
